Description

Sam Lewis and Kenny Vaughan performing live at Border Bash in Historic Downtown Bristol on May 18.

Sam Lewis - Sam Lewis is anything but ordinary. From his nomad childhood to his attention to detail, he and his music are traveled and versed beyond their years. Lewis takes simplicity from Willie Nelson, poetry from Bob Dylan, soul from Ray Charles, stage presence from Leon Russell, rich delivery from Van Morrison and combines them to create one authentic, solid message..."  Fishbowl Records.  http://samlewistunes.com/

Kenny Vaughn

Born in Oklahoma, raised in Denver, Kenny Vaughan's earliest memories of music are his father's jazz record collection. One of the most sought after session players in Nashville, the guitarist knew early on he wanted to make a career out of making music. Kenny’s musical evolution continued when an invitation to join a neighborhood rock n' roll party band led to the formation of The Jonny 3, a legendary Denver band that played the upstart punk rock scene. Following his jaunt into punk rock, Vaughan continued to play the honky-tonk scene before moving to Nashville in 1987. In 2001, Vaughan became a part of "Marty Stuart and the Fabulous Superlatives." Vaughan penned all of the songs on his new release, "V" and keeps busy touring with Stuart and performing every Monday night in Nashville fronting his own trio.  http://www.kennyvaughan.net
