Description

O. Winston Link was an independent professional photographer who documented the final years of steam railroading on the Norfolk & Western Railway; the last class one railroad in America to operate exclusively with steam power.  Link's photographs are regarded as one of the best records of this long vanished type of locomotion.  While best known for the photographs of the railroad he made at night, Link took pleasure in recording the life of the railroad, its people and the folks who lived along the line, at all hours of the day.

Viewing of the O. Winston Link exhibit is open to the public on Saturday, July 4 during Celebrate Bristol’s Star Spangled Saturday 1-7:30 P.M. and Monday July 6 through Thursday, July 9, 1-7:30 P.M.  at the Bristol Train Station, 101 Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard., Bristol, VA.  Admission is free.
