Paramount Center for the Arts

Built in 1931 in the art deco style, the Paramount was restored to its original splendor in 1991. Today this grand theater presents exciting musical, dramatic, and dance productions and a weekly concert series featuring a variety of classical and contemporary artists.
Stars who have performed at the Paramount include Loretta Lynn, Chet Atkins, Bill Monroe, Emmylou Harris, and Hal Holbrook. Audiences have enjoyed many of America’s favorite theatrical productions here, including Ain’t Misbehavin’, 42nd Street, Nunsense, and Annie Get Your Gun.

The Paramount is also home to Theatre Bristol, a regional company that offers theatrical productions as well as educational workshops in the performing arts.

In addition, the Bristol Ballet, which has been in operation for more than 50 years, gives several annual performances at the Paramount.
